What Should You Know About the EA Exam

There is no scope to use cash, paper checks, or e-checks; you can use a Visa, Master Card, or American Express card to pay the fees. The testing fee cannot be refunded or transferred unless there is a legitimate reason to do so.

Know About Appointment Cancellation and How to Reschedule?

Typically, there is no refund for canceling the appointment or the testing fee you have already paid. If you reschedule the exam 25 to 5 days before the appointment date, you might need to incur a sum of USD 35.
You have to pay the full exam fee one more time if you reschedule exams at the last moment, which is less than 5 calendar days before your date of appointment.

Enrolled Agent Exam Fees 

  • For each part, $200 is the enrolled agent exam cost or fee that you need to pay. You must pay your enrolled agent exam fees for 2024 during appointment scheduling. Remember, you cannot receive a refund or transfer the Special Enrollment Examination fee.
  • The fee that you need to pay for a PTIN is $70. 
  • The PTIN application fee is also non-refundable on the form. The EA profession requires you to have a PTIN that is valid.
